Dresden, B-17s and a German I met today

True story, I won't give a lot of details except to stay it's all true. I was standing under the wing of a B-17 today, all alone. The superfortress was armed, with 500 pound bombs, 12 fifty caliber machine guns, just like in World War II, and an old German fellow walked by me and stopped, just the two of us there, all alone.
Me, him, and this big, imposing B-17. he was angry, teth gritting, fist clenched, raised punching the air at the pilots cockpit, his lips moving angrily but silently.. I just watched him.
I finally asked him, " Sir, is there anything I can do to help, you look upset?"
He spoke, " You and that godamn airplane bombed my home in Dresden when I was ten, and killed my whole family, you pig! I can still smell the burned bodies in my nose," he told me in broken English.
I didn't know what to say for a moment or two....I let it rest as he stood there. Finally,
" Well, thank God your survived, sir."
" You pigs, " he muttered, as he made his way to the register to write his name and address.
Someone taken back, I said to him, " There is one lucky thought - Thank God you were not in London at the time, eh?"
He glared at me and left.
