Conspiracy Theories - Bush, Iraq, Lincoln, tedium ad naseum
My wife has a friend in Oregon who sends her dvds on government conspiracies and who started what war, government spooks, 9/11 inside jobs, look out, somebody is under your bed, Lincoln was really shot by Malcolm X...
you get the idea.
I am really sick of conspiracy theories on many levels.
I have had the privilege of being at Dealey Plaza several times, it calls to me much like Gettysburg battlefield. My last visit with my late wife was the best for many reasons, one, we got to go to the sixth floor museum and peer out the famous window were the assassin shot the president.
On the sign tacked to the outside of the Texas School Book Depository Building it read, "....Lee Harvey Oswald, the lone assassin, shot the president of the United States..." someone had scratched over the word assassin,
" alleged." Conspiracy theorists are alive, well and out there a half century after John Kennedy is buried half way across the country. ( "there MUST have been others, there HAS TO HAVE BEEN others...surely" ).
This nonsense from Americans ready to blame their own country for anything, everything rather than accept the truth of history is disconcerting. Robert Redford's recent movie about Lincoln's assassination denigrates the trial of the conspirators that were eventually hanged in the county jail's courtyard in Washington, DC. According to Redford, everyone acted dispicably, railroading the poor, innocent killers that put our greatest president in his grave - a man who saw us through the greatest challenge our country has ever faced.
Conspiracies; make the most of it, as long as America looks bad, go for it, right Robert, Infowars.com?
Then again, that's my opinion, I could be wrong.
