Gunfight at the DC Corral

I don't know what good all the TV media kerfuffle is doing about the upcoming government shutdown is doing, as our dysfunctional government slogs onward towards scaring the hell out of two thirds of America.
    Threats aimed at the majority of our citizens has so far:

• frightened the aging population into hollering "Revolution" as the president has threatened their Social Security checks.
• Held a gun over the heads by press relases regarding billions of cuts in medicaid for seniors who have no other form of old age care for advancing sickness coverage.
• Further cuts in mental health care; nut-ball gun fights have broken out all over the country, mass killings dot the news, I've lost track there are so many.
• Brinkmanship between our Red state/Blue state stand-off has hatched a new political group rallying around a flag labeled "FU Congress," the abbreviation says it all.
• Independent political registration in our fcountry now is at an all time high; pundits indicate Americans are abandoning the idea of a two party system in the USA for the first time since the Post Revolutiony era.
• Five days are left before the collapse of the economic market, the first time ever. A fresh water experience for America. New ground for the White House, how the incumbent will survive re-election is anybody's guess.

Gold and silver are at this writing at $1600 and $40 an ounce respectively. To my knowledge, all time highs. Any economist will vouchsafe an indication a portend an indicator of an upcoming monetary collapse.

As the hippy-dippy weatherman used to say, radar indicates a flock of incoming Russian ICBMs, so, don't sweat the thundershowers.
