Piers Morgan and the English Parliament
Once, long ago, in far off England it was decreed in that land, that the King levelled a law on the people that the Church of England would be Anglican. All people would be worshippers in that church, bow to God in that fashion, none would dare to worship God in any other fashion, upon pain of death.
During that time, England dared occupy neighboring Ireland, tore off the roofs of their Catholic churches, they were contrary to English law, drove off those priests, hung a bunch of Irish upstarts, starved the rest, left soldiers in Ireland to enforce the point, and to just recently, left a bad taste in the mouth of most of Ireland.
Ditto in India. Ditto in Israel. Fear of boredom prevents me from more stories. English government feared their own people getting nasty, so at one point, passed a restrictive law saying, NO firearms for anybody. None. Well, practically none, if you want to hunt, you've got to fill out a small hay-bale of paperwork for shotguns (they don't shoot far) to shoot birds n such.
No handguns, and damn few rifles, if ever.
During WWII, they didn't even arm the citizens, even with the dire possibility of invasion from the Nazis. Still, they held to that stupid law - their Government was in control. They came damn close to speaking German. WHAT did they do?
They called on US. We sent tanks, ships, mines, bombs, food, clothes, we jacked up the war supplies like mad. Liberty ships were made all over the US and shipped there. American citizens were asked and complied - they sent personal rifles and handguns over to Englishmen for personal defense during the war.
They had to, ENGLISHMEN DIDN'T HAVE THEM, IT WAS STILL AGAINST THE LAW. At the end of the war, records and press reports show, the English sent them back.
Now comes that Englishman, PIERS MORGAN, now on American TV, fresh from the other side, who uses he TV show to tell us country bumpkins that our Constitution, Amendment 2, thereof, is a big FAT MISTAKE. That we should NOT have it Today, on his TV show, this arrogant person from England said he would use this "platform" to encourage Americans to dismantle the 2nd Amendment."
I will not even begin to debate the insanity of this Englishman attempting to embarrass himself on American Television, lecturing Americans on how we should surrender our God given, hard fought rights by voluntarily giving up our rights to firearms.
