NRA ............and Hollywood
Money and influence: since the current inflamed controversy over guns in America, the NRA seems to be taking it on the chin. Hysterical reporting by the main stream media, in my view, seems to be akin to a lynch mob, as Wyatt Earp once said.
How much influence can one lobby have? referring to the NRA, a movie character once said in the American President film written by Rob Reiner, political leftist.
Good question. The NRA contributes $16 million to Congress in various forms to a variety of different areas each year. True, that's a lot of dough.
Howsomever, Hollywood contributes $40 million dollars to the self-same Congress per year, according to a Fox News report aired just this morning. A lobbyist indicates they do so to keep their "product" (violent films, violent games) flowing freely into the market place, says the lobbyist.
So, as to the question as to WHICH LOBBY HAS THE GREATEST INFLUENCE IN WASHINGTON? IT'S EASY - HOLLYWOOD.
