Who is John Galt
More than a half century ago, a woman wrote a book about our country falling into disrepair, economic catastrophe and financial collapse. This, in 1948.
In her book sketched out exactly the black pit that American enterprise falls into, slowly grinding to a halt.
In " Atlas Shrugged" a metaphor for the brains who run our country's engine of business, finance and commerce, are slowly frustrated, constricted and choked off by government, it's laws, unions and their contracts, environmental lobbyists and their special interests, and shrinking profits: these guys slowly, quietly drop out of sight.
They disappear - gone. They refuse to participate in what appears to be a collapsing unsolvable country, committed to a philosophy that was founded on an idea: they came here with an idea.
You work for yourself and what you made, you kept. What you built, was yours. No man, no organization could take it away, as long as you hurt no one, were loyal to your community, yourself, your family, your country. You pay your fair share to your town, your state, your country, you volunteer in the service to protect the country, worship, marry, sire children, hurt no one, do the right thing.
No more.
Politics of hate and division have driven us apart, angry lies, subterfuge, double dealing, obfuscation and distrust run wild throughout of political, business and banking system.
I distrust everyone.
