COX CABLE TV AND INTERNET....My Experience

On September 30th of this year, I asked Cox to plug in their "bundle" deal advertised in the local papers and TV ads based on low, low prices and "super, knock on your door and blow you away service."  I was guaranteed a low monthly bill of $125 every month by their salesman in another city.
A local contractor showed plugged me in, told me I needed a Wi-Fi router for technical reason so I said, ok. He didn't get home before the system collapsed, I called him, he returned that night and got it up again. Next day, collapsed again, only it took him a full day to get back. Next day, it collapsed, and he never called back, never came back.
I fooled around with it and discovered how to recover THEIR equipment. Me. I don't even use an electrical tooth brush.
Every day since September 30, their Wi-Fi has collapsed and I have had to re-start it-every single day. It is now 11/29/12.
I've called their tech support, and you know what that's like. I've sent e/mails to their cust/serv line and gotten back computer generated "HAL 9000" letters back. I replied " Open the Pod Bay Doors, HAL," to which I got another computer generated letter referring me to their local office.
I went to their local office filled with nice smiley faced young kids trained to smile, give a set of pre-programmed answers from 1 to 15. Beyond which they will not go. I called repair and they said they would glad come to my home and "repair my equipment," and I pointed out it wasn't mine, but theirs.
He responded that no, it was mine and I was going to pay $75 for him to come out and even look at it.
Try to find anyone in Cox above the level of Smile Customer Service Clerk with shoulder pads. I dare you. I don't even know who to talk to, and I'll bet you don't know either.
For my obviously broken Router malfunctioning daily, I got a two page computer driven letter from Cox stating " you'll have to refer to the manual that came with the router and contact the manufacturer for details on how to..." blah, blah. You catch on.
Kick the can out of their office to somebody else.
Meanwhile, no contract, so I'm free to look.
Did I mention my FIRST bill was over $250? Yeah, it was a surprise to me too since nobody ever mentioned it to me when I talked to Victor Vaselino the salesman.
