The Red Headed Girl From Tucson

Fell in with bad company, and like the little girl who fell down the rabbit hole, she was surrounded by people that appeared evil and ugly, mean and angry.
She didn't know what to do. All the grown up people appeared to drink nasty water and act strangely. Her only friend was a big white rabbit with an over sized watch who, on occasion would run through her living room, and say, Holy Cow, I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date! I've got to say, I've got to go, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late ! ! !  He was very friendly, he loved her very much and tried to show her every day. He wanted to talk to her, but she never talked back, much. He was very, very sad about that.
For off he'd go to an important date, to make the bread to bring the cake to feed the troops, to make the party, that made their day, their joyous day. All snug in covers, fluffy white, warm and snug,
Then, one day, the red-headed girl from Tucson left her big fluffy bed and went off to meet a big black crow with long flowing black robes who talked to her with sweet flowing words of honey, honey. How nice she talked. She made the little red-head feel so good, she wanted her to lie down on the big fluffy pillows in the corner and fall fast asleep. The crow knew she was sad, deep, down sad, so she told the Red Headed girl what she needed to hear, wanted to hear, that she was special. She made her a "star."
"Come, play on the swings outside," or the big black crow in the long flowing black cape would let her read in the dark room with the pretty windows all with different pretty colored glass. The girl liked that room.
She would go home at the end of the day and tell her father (who was the big white furry rabbit with the oversized watch) about the room with the colored glass. He like to hear the stories about the room, and about her reading and playing. Her motorcycle mommy listened, too. She had to listen hard over the varoom-varoom of the little green cycle she rode to the school at the top of the hill. But, the more time she spent with the Crow, the less she talked with her father, the BIG WHITE RABBIT, until, eventually, she stopped talking, completely.
I'm off, I'm off to the little school, she would holler as she disappeared out of the site. The red-headed girl with the frizzie hair would climb on her magic bus with her magic sister Jelly and they went to see the big black Crow together to play, and sing songs, and hide in the dark room with the funny glass window.
And they learned. Boy, did they learned.
And the daddy? The BIG OVERSIZED RABBIT was so busy running off with his giant watch, going tick tick, tock tock,..."I'm late, I'm late, for a VERY VERY IMPORTANT DATE." He said that a lot back then, for he brought back a lot of green slips of paper that he traded in for food and clothes, n stuff for school, trips and other things. There were weekends that The Rabbit chauffered the little girl around for three hundred miles - in one weekend - the engine never cooled down. It happened a lot. It was a great time to be with the Girl With the Red Frizzy Hair.
Everybody at the red headed little girls home seemed happy about that, but sad that the Big Rabbit wasn't around a lot during the week.
Everybody was trying really really hard to be happy, and trying really really hard to do everything right. The mommy was drinking her juice and that seemed to make her happy....for a little while. The BIG RABBIT was taking everybody out for pizza for dinner, n stuff, other places too. He thought everybody looked happy, caused they giggled alot.
The red haired little girl hid in her room which was loaded with a lot of party stuff, streamers and pictures on the wall. A little kid came to the room once and asked the red-headed little girl, "is this a party." She said, " no, it's just my room." The BIG WHITE RABBIT wondered what that meant. He asked. She never told him. Hmm.
