Photo Albums from the past

I keep a lot of old photos, history books of my own life from the past.
One old booklet popped up last night and as I cruised through it, 62 years ago came back as if it were yesterday.
Mary Moss Fulton, my ex-wife was back at our dinner table fresh, young and 23 with me, her new husband and my family, all eating at the manse at 2045 S Redfield Str in southwest Philadelphia. It was a different world back then. The pictures show a street clean, flowery, beautiful filled with neighbors that cared for each other.
Three young children sat on our front lawn all pointing cap pistols at the camera, smiling, the girl wearing a cowboy hat, foretelling the future, I guess.
Wait, ...the kids were me, my sister Pat and the neighborhood boy next door.
My family, huddled on the front steps of the three story walk up, smiled, posed, gestured for the camera often in Sunday clothes, taken right after services at the Baptist church.
Some of the pictures taken in upper New York State at Chaumont Bay, 'Schmoo" Bay as we called it with my father's relatives, all taken in black and white. All were taken in 1953, to 1955, color pictures were brand new then, very expensive to buy and develop, out of reach of the common consumer.
My past, all in pictures as clear as if they were taken yesterday - crystal clear, I can see the wrinkles in their faces, the smile lines along their mouthes, more than a half century ago.
    My family, all gone.
