WASHINGTON PRESS CORPS - the S.S.? nkvd?....
At least in the "old days" in mother Russia, Beria and Mother Russia, they would have been more proud, I think. The NKVD were more subtle, more slippery, more....mmm, surreptitious? An old south Philadelphia friend of mine connected to La Casa Nostra had a homily about this kind of deadly friendship - he called it making love to a Vaseline Stiletto knife.
You never knew you got the shiv until it was in and they turned it.
The boys and girls in the Press Corps are not burdened with any such finesse, any subtlety, charisma. They pummel Sean, the president's spokesman with idiotic (my opine), repetitious questions until the sentient among us are ready for a brain transplant.
The reporters? Of course are not.
Unfortunately, as angry, sarcastic and pissed off as they are at President Trump, and Sean Spicer, they will probably meet up with him after work, buy him a beer, back slap him, and pretend it was all in a good days work, " old buddy."
Spicer, nursing either a grudge, ulcer or a headache, would do well to consider running over a couple of them with his car on the way home to Prince George's County Tonight.
