Jesse Watters Interviews High School Kids
I was not shocked by recent kids Jesse miked at a recent " demonstration " that was 'anti-Trump' in the New York area. Typical fashion he stuck a mike in front of a kid out playing hookey holding a sign. Jess asked him WHY? The kid didn't know. Had no idea, finally blurted out in some Ebonics, cause the other class mates were doin' it.
"The Mob is out of control, dear friends."
The inmates are slowly taking control of the institution. I visualize scenes from an old Movie about the French Revolution where the maddening (ignorant) peasants storm the castle and butcher the landholders in their beds.
A good friend, my next door neighbor, came to me last evening and asked me what I thought of President Trump. He was visibly nervous, shaken, and on the edge of tears. He said he had been listening to MSNBC all day, and wanted to know, since I knew Trump in college, did I think we were going to war....WAR?!!
I told him, no. I spent an hour telling him how the government worked. Two houses of Congresses, the executive branch, how you start a war, FDR addressing Congress, asking permission, getting it. He had no idea. Telling him where we went wrong, WHY some Congressional members didn't do what they should have. Who in the WH didn't do the right thing and why.
He is 73, I'm 77 next week. He was afraid he'd have to go shoulder a rifle again. I told him that was out of the question, and for me, too. There is a difference between what you think and feel is right or wrong, and what is the law.
No matter what, we have to go by the law.
