Guns in Public, Shootings, "Wildings," Random Violence with Firearms

As I write this, Thursday morning, October 24th at noon, I understand yet another shooting has taken place at a Naval Base in mid America. I have no details yet on that score. In the two past weeks there have been twin shootings in middle schools involving kids shooting adults or being shot. Navy Yard mass shooting in DC, and so many others, I've lost count.
In my psychological training, the "big picture' or strategic overview has always struck me in such cases. The hysterics, politically motivated who shreek at guns, wheel out the same tired impossible musical themes about 'disarming' the public, generating sturm and drang. Weeks later, it dies down.
And so it goes two days before Thanksgiving, after a host of shootings so vast I cannot keep track of them, neither can them press, neither can the nut-ball "anti-gun" groups.
What to make of this? I conclude simply this: it is not the ample supply of guns or bullets. No? The Swiss, by law, have guns in the house. BY LAW. I spent two years as a docent in a local museum talking to them about it. After mandatory military service, they give them one to take home, they place it in their gun racks and keep them. Everybody does. It's a neutral country. They take no one's side.
Ever wonder why? No body messes with them. Hmm Gun crimes - near zero. Been there twice, very quiet, calm, well fed country. Lots of skiing.
Why us you say? My theory, we're coming apart at the seams, mentally and emotionally, and as the favorite homily goes: - the fish starts to decay from the head down. Lack of direction, sense of loss, no control ( or the wrong control ).
Look for more of what we are seeing in the future - hate crimes, the RACIAL wildings, drive by shootings, random violence, "Knock-em out" videos. More guns in the hands of citizens who are not going to be victims.
It's unfortunate and it's sad. We get the government we deserve.
