WIKI LEAKS, PVT. BRADLEY MANNING & and Daniel Ellsberg back from the dead
G. Gordon Liddy told me, personally, that Ellsberg's "treason" - releasing the Pentagon Papers to the New York Times, was not a big a deal as his (Liddy's) break-in of Ellsberg's office. THAT,he said, was of major consequence, vastly over looked by Judge Sirica at the time. Oh well, pondered "Dr. of Laws" Liddy. So goes Justice.
Comes now Mr Ellsberg, back from the grave (nearly) to lecture us again on how the evil Pentagon is deceiving what he terms a "naive" Obama on how the dastardly military is treating yet another treasonous coward (my opinion only, his trial is yet to be had) Pvt. Peach Fuss Bradly Manning, he of the releasing of the Wiki Leaks papers to the alledgedly sexual loosy-goosy Julie Assange.
Mr. Ellsberg, no neophite in mistreating his own country by releasing classified documents during wartime should know. He and fellow butt-buddy the good private should occupy the same cell, but alas, the way things work around here, probably not so much anymore.
First Amendment: free speach, Ellsberg still at it. Good for him.
Me, too. He and Jane the Fonda and her crowd, the whole infected "I Hate America and all it stands for can all die off."
PS, when I met Ollie North in Denver some time back, I asked him about this, and he seemed quite casual about it and without rancor. " I fought for their rights to do it," he said. "No harm done."
Now, there is a man of honor, Hanoi Jane.
