Bill Maher Politically Incorrect
There is no one who loves to laugh more than I do...times were I laughed so loud, my wife stuffed hankies in my mouth to keep me from being ejected from movie theatres. I love good laughs, clean, semi=clean, raunchy, psychological, you name it.
Then, there is Bill Maher. Ok, his politics are slightly to the left of Mao, but never mind, there are times when he cracks wise and I give him giggles, but it's when he stays away from Bush did this, Bush did that. Bush, by the way, Bill - IS OVER, MUCH LIKE THE SIXTIES, you goof. Gone. Obama is in charge now, almost over his second year, so, his fingerprints are on everything, so - let's stick to present day, BILLY=BOY.
Anywho, what I hate about Maher, is, most of his jokes are un-funny, and that he cracks himself up. He laughs at his own jokes. Real bush league. C'mon, what "comedian" has to prompt their audience with a please-laugh-here giggle?
Never mind that he is over his depth on commenting on discussion items that would seem to require a more indepth study that he lacks, along with such guests like actors Ben Affleck, and other Hollywood types.
Excuse it with the observation that it is an 'opinion' show, we all have one, as evidence with this blog, and ok, but what is galling about star power is that Affleck and Maher draw more gravitas because they have the tube pointed at them and we don't.
Simply put, the 'comedy show,' like beauty is in the mind's eye of the beholder.
