THE HOLLYWOOD BLACKLIST OF THE FIFTIES - GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
Ok, I'm cool with the First Amendment and all that. Occasionally, my tail gets shot up from msnbc and I nose-dive to put it out, but...I remind myself of the #1 Amendment and cool it.
That is, until the so called " Womens' March" in DC, where the witches of Eastwick came out to play (Hollywood, that is) and spoiled it for me. I thought of the 50's BLACKLIST days when the Communists raised Hell in trying to bring down our country with double talks, spies, murder, infiltrating our government, State Department, ' THE BIG LIES" and various other sneaky tricks that were eventually routed out, locked up and killed off by rigorous government prosecution.
And, some were even executed for spying for Russia. How'd you think they got " the bomb."?
Everyone knows or should know that back then, Hollywood leftists were having intellectual if not sexual intercourse with Communists who vowed to bring down everything American from kids Apple stands to the United States Army. A few of the actors who were identified as sneaky ass Communists disappeared for decades. In the last few years have re-appeared on television.
We are watching some of them now.
The Womens' March in DC MAY have announced a new crop of left leaning Hollywood Liberals who, if they lean farther in that direction,
I speak only for me, in my opinion I will no longer patronize films featuring Robert DeN
iro, Ashley Judd, Meryl Streep, and a couple of other women who feel compelled to mouth off about my country, and causes that seem to weaken our ability to protect us. In My Opinion, their sympathies lie, not in direction of fellow Americans, THE PEOPLE WHO SHELL OUT THEIR HARD EARNED DOLLARS TO SEE THEIR MOVIES, but to assuage their own hungry egos pandering to leftist causes harmful to our country.
